Do you ever get stuck in a rut and feel like you can’t get out of it? Yeah, pretty much everyone does…I know.
This time of year it seems like work gets crazy because at year end people are trying to cram in a bunch of things, then at the first of the year they all want to do a million more things because it’s all fresh and new. I get it. I’m the same way!
My mind has all these thoughts swirling around. This time of year is always a little bitter-sweet. I think it’s that Christmas is over (wahhhh!!!), and this new year is here with all its promise and hope, and I always think “maybe this year I’ll do [insert idea/project/travel destination/etc.]”.
To top it off, this year I turn 30. I want to say “No! Wait! Hold on a minute! I haven’t accomplished everything I wanted to in my 20’s!!!” <—— Who’s fault is that? Mine. I know. Is that normal or am I just really crazy? I’m not sure. And I know I know, age is just a number…blah blah blah. Yes, it is a number. An older number than it was before. 🙂
So, I’m in a rut. All I want to do is get in the car or hop on a plane, and go somewhere. Winter does that to me (after Christmas of course – duh).
Do you get in a rut? How do you get out of it? I bet you get on a plane and go somewhere fabulous don’t you?
