Last year I made the decision to not make any resolutions. In the past I’ve never actually stuck with it or kept the goals I set (granted, they were all pretty typical: work out every day ha). I chose to change it up a little and rather than make multiple resolutions that were usually forgotten in a matter of a couple months, I found a verse that I wanted to live by. Something that related to whatever it was I was going through at the time or something I knew would keep me grounded and focused all year.
It actually stuck. Whenever I started to feel discouraged or felt like my personal goals weren’t being met, I reached for the reminder of that verse.
Keeping that theme going, this year the verse I chose kind of carries on last year’s (seen here).
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
– Proverbs 3:6
There are a lot of times in my life that I get carried away with the what-ifs and start to worry if I’m doing what I should be or if I’m in the right place at this point in my life. I’ve always been a worrier. Last year I tried to focus on trust. This year I’m focusing on the next part of that journey…as long as I trust, He will direct my paths. That’s good – I’m not good at directions!
