Marinated Pork Chops

I love a good steak. For some reason I’ve never been over the moon about pork chops though. I hear people talk of these incredibly juicy pork chops, and they sound fantastic. I always wonder why they don’t offer me a left-over chop…it’s kind of like dangling a carrot…except it’s not a carrot, it’s a deliciously juicy pork chop, which is 10 times better than any carrot I’ve ever had. I decided to experiment with some pork chop marinade one night, and it turned out to be delicious!
You’ll need an oven-safe skillet, such as a cast iron skillet, a plastic zip-top bag, aluminum foil, pork chops (obviously), and some seasonings.
For the seasonings…
Rosemary and Garlic infused Olive Oil, Wildtree Garlic & Herb Blend, Jane’s Krazy Mixed-Up Salt, and a little Black Pepper.

Now, to marinate…

Put the olive oil and seasonings in a plastic bag. In go the pork chops! I let it marinate for about 4-6 hours.

Once it was ready, I put the pork chops with a little extra olive oil from the bag into the skillet over medium-high heat.

I seared each side for a few minutes until it was nice and golden.

Then I put the pan in the oven to bake until it was cooked through.

Marinated Pork Chops
Servings: 4

4 Pork Chops
1/2 cup olive oil (1/4 c rosemary infused and 1/4 c garlic infused)
1 Tbsp Wildtree garlic and herb blend (or mix garlic powder, parsley, dill, dried basil, and chives)
1 tsp Jane’s Krazy mixed-up salt
Black pepper to taste

1. Combine olive oil and seasonings in a plastic bag. Place pork chops into the bag. Allow to marinate for 4-6 hours.
2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
3. Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add about a tablespoon of marinade to the skillet and sear pork chops on each side until slightly browned.
4. Place some foil loosely over the skillet and transfer to the oven to finish cooking. Cook for about 15-20 minutes. Time will depend on the thickness. Mine were about 3/4″ thick.
Hope you enjoy!
